Message to Patients

“Medicor” is a Latin word meaning “to heal” or “to cure”.  We chose this name for our clinic because it perfectly represents our philosophy of care. The Medicor Cancer Centres team of health professionals provides personalized treatment and support to patients to help achieve their goal of a positive health outcome.

Medicor Cancer Centres’ founder and Medical Director has spent over 10 years in Toronto working closely with cancer patients in their own homes. This has allowed him to see first hand the difficulties they face as they deal with the many dimensions of their care.

His independent observations of the challenges in existing cancer care have been validated by the Canadian Cancer Society study called “Breaking Down the Barriers: Study of Cancer Patient and Caregiver Needs in Ontario”.

The treatment of cancer continues to evolve, and requires the co-ordination of groups of medical professionals, use of technology and supportive services.
