At some point in life, experiences can occur which change our view of ourselves and the world around us. These experiences can seem extremely overwhelming and emotions can feel unmanageable. Counseling services can help people to better not only their emotional but also their physical state, and spiritual well-being. Through the use of talk and other tools and techniques, the mind/body connection can provide healing and health.

If you need help overcoming stress and emotional turmoil caused by your cancer, we can arrange ongoing care with our counselor.

Jessica Schwey is a member of the Ontario Association of Consultants, Counselors, Psychometrists and Psychotherapists. She earned her Masters through the Adler School of Professional Psychology. Prior to that, Jessica received degrees from Concordia University (BFA, Theatre/Music) and York University (BA Honours). Jessica has also studied with Isis Canada (Expressive Arts Therapy), and Positive Strategies (Hypnosis, Meditation and Emotional Clearing).

In 2003 Jessica Co-founded The Centre for Health - a full service health centre. It combines many holistic treatments in order to help clients integrate and access a holistic approach to their health care. Due to Jessica’s interest in the holistic use of health care, it only seemed natural to team up with Medicor Cancer Centres.

Jessica has worked with couples, families and individuals of all ages. She has helped clients deal with issues such as marital and family conflicts, parenting, anxiety, stress, and anger management. Jessica's strength in dealing with trauma and depression, combined with her compassion and empathy, provides her clients with the confidence and strength needed during those times that often seem unmanageable.
