Every cancer patient has unique needs and care requirements. The requirements for a recently diagnosed patient are different from one who has had a recurrence or one who has tried many different treatments with little or no success. Recognizing this allows us to customize our services and provide timely care for each patient’s maximum benefit.
Cancer care is rapidly evolving. We are in a unique position to offer cutting-edge tests, treatments and care options that may take longer to approve or organize within other institutions. A few examples of our services include:
Our “full care” services start with an in-depth consultation with our health care team. Your personal Medicor physician will review your past medical, treatment, drug and illness histories; with all relevant family, psychosocial, quality-of-life and other issues with you and your family. You will have access to up-to-date information about tests and treatments. You can ask questions in a relaxed and personal environment. This is followed by a directed physical examination and tests as needed. A care plan will be formulated addressing your goals for cancer treatment.
The medical part of the consultation is complemented by consultations with any two of the following: dietician, naturopath, counselor, physiotherapist or massage therapist.
Your complete care plan will then be presented to you with your personal hand held computer (PEHR™) as well as custom Medicor Compendium.
Your first month of care is included in the consultation. This gives you an opportunity to benefit from our comprehensive services. Included are unlimited physician visits, 24/7 physician availability, second opinion arrangement (if needed), organizing and coordinating various aspects of your care. We provide the latest research and options for test and treatments, and communication with your existing health care professionals, if any.
Following your consultation, you will have the option of subscribing to our ongoing monthly care. It is designed to provide a coordinated, comprehensive approach; to continually optimize your care and potential for remission or cure. Ongoing care includes regular, proactive disease monitoring, all necessary medical care and visits with any 2 of our health care team, including dietician, naturopath, counselor, physiotherapist or massage therapist (more than 2 visits per month are optional).
Whether you need a specific therapy such as DCA, or live outside Greater Toronto please contact us. We will be happy to create a custom package for you. We build your care for your needs.
